Do you all still offer this tone on the current HPSA series? When the Alertus crew did the demo of the MHPSA in Cincinnati and switched it to run in alert tone it pelted out a 700-ish Hz tone. This one is closer to what the European companies like Telegrafia use. The low pitch this one has seems like it would be good for sound propagation, penetrates the air better than the higher pitched tones.

I noticed you guys have changed to a newer controller design. Are the new ones still capable of producing these “European” tones with the volume ramps? This sounds very similar to the sirens made by Telegrafia.

is there any way to interface with these by themselves? I bought an Alertus Beacon off eBay in hopes I could integrate it in to my Home Assistant setup at my home (have it go off during a weather alert, intruder alert, etc.) I see that it only polls for data every about 20 seconds rather than listens for it, so is there a way to setup a server or program that sends the correct data to the Beacon for it to activate? is there some sort of API or protocol?

Do you have any installation manuals available online for the different models? I need to tie in two Alertus modules to two different FACPs for a customer. They did not receive any paperwork apparently. We have two existing systems that use Alertus on the same campus, but all 4 panels are different (Notifier).

We use HyperSpikes that are less than a 1/4 the size of yours at 1600 watts and we can hear a mic message like they are speaking right next to us from a 1/4 mile away. These are old tech and need to be updated if you want to compete.

The Alert Beacon is my favorite Alertus component. Your system would fit perfectly in my school and I might tell them to consider installing it!

Hey, quick question. The audio of the video of the HPSA in action is a bit grainy sounding. I'm guessing it was because the sound from the recorded video is being played back through his microphone and into the stream. Are those videos that you guys take also uploaded to RUclips on your channel or on the Alertus website? I ask because these sirens are fascinating to hear and sound quite a bit different compared to most of the others on the market. They have a very clear voice, but the video doesn't do the ineligibility any justice. Just wondering. Thanks!

This is overall a pretty good webinar, but there are a few important points that were sort of glossed over or forgotten. Outdoor mass notification remains relevant because of its ubiquity. It is only dependent on the individual being in the presence and coverage pattern of a siren or loudspeaker station. It is also not dependent upon the presence, ring/vibrate setting, or battery charge status of an individual's phone or mobile device in order to deliver a warning. Sirens are a familiar form of "tone warning", and this is not to be dismissed as "old" technology. Tone warning is essential as an attention-getter, because a tone is not dependent upon intelligibility, and it is not affected by multiple arrivals. It is something out of the ordinary, and it is unlikely to be ignored by the brain because the sound of a siren is ubiquitous and understood as an attention-getter. The right approach is to use a combination of tone and voice alerting - first a tone or siren sound should be played, and then the announcement should follow.

DEMO MODIFICATION REQUEST. next time you do a demo, would you please use the "tts module interface with PA amp which feeds PA speakers" method rather than the "standalone speaker" method. this would demonstrate the attention alarm tones that preced the message, which can help you know when it's REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY important to listen.
